Visible facial blood vessels are often referred to as “broken” capillaries, which is a false description and definition of this condition. They are permanently dilated small blood vessels called Telangiectasias. Telangiectasias are widely open (dilated) blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. Telangiectasias can develop anywhere in the body but are most commonly seen on the face, nose, chin and cheeks.
Varicose veins (Spider veins are mild varicose veins) occur in the superficial veins of your leg, making your blood vessels visible on the surface of the skin. Our laser procedures will break down and shrink the blood vessels which will lead to the reduction of vascular lesions.
